Panther Bag

SOLD! This is a great lakes area style 1700's era shoulder bag. The design is called a water panther it is a fairly common design that has two meanings that I know of. Some women would make this as a symbol of protection for there men when they went into battle, and some people have "the underwater panther society" this is a warrior society set aside for the best of the best. It is approximately 8"x8". It is porcupine quill work on brain tanned deer skin, The tassels are deer hair and the strap is finger woven out of hand spun wool.
