Quill work

Turtle Bag: SOLD! This is a neck worn Seneca pipe bag, that was used to hold ration tickets in later years, It is brain tanned with quillwork The design is my rendition of the iroquois creation story, the turtle with the tree of life holding up the sun. it is approximately 4"x6".
Panther Bag: SOLD! This is a great lakes area style 1700's era shoulder bag. The design is called a water panther it is a fairly common design that has two meanings that I know of. Some women would make this as a symbol of protection for there men when they went into battle, and some people have "the underwater panther society" this is a warrior society set aside for the best of the best. It is approximately 8"x8". It is porcupine quill work on brain tanned deer skin, The tassels are deer hair and the strap is finger woven out of hand spun wool.
Huron Knife Sheath: SOLD! This is a knifeThis is a replica of a huron knife sheath from around 1740 I am not sure where the origional is, however it is approximately 8" lomg by 3" wide including the tassels. It is Brain tanned, sewn with hand spun linnen, and lined with rawhide. The tassels are white tailed deer hair and all of the decorative work is porcupine quill.

 

Wampum

Glass Wampum Bracelet: This is a glass wampum bracelet or bag flap cover or choker. It is 7" by 3" approximatey It is woven on brain tanned laces using hand spun linen thread.
Czech Wampum Bracelet: SOLD! This is czech made glass wampum. it is a bracelet approximately 5" by one andf a half inces it is woven on brain tanned white tail lace with hand spun linen thread.
Czech Wampum Bracelet: This is glass wampum it is czech made, and woven by me. it is 6" by 3" woven with hand spun linen thread on braintanned laces.
Glass Wampum Bracelet: SOLD! This glass wampum bracelet is woven on brain tanned deer laces with handspun linen thread it is 5" x 1.5".

Jute Bag: SOLD! This is a jute twined bag woven by hand using technology that is of undetermined age but was period appropriate from neolithic times until the present it is 8"x8" with a 4' strap traditionally it would have been used much like we use pockets now.
