Flintknapping
This is an introduction to the basics of flint knapping, we will cover the tools both modern and abo(aborigional) we will cover stones and their qualities, You will not come out of this class an expert, but you will have a basic knowledge and feel for what the work is and should be. It will be very hands on with each student receiving all of the necessary tools and materials for their own beginning projects including D.C. Waldorf's The Art of Flintknapping, a copper billet, a pressure flaker, a lap and palm pad, and several stones.
